St. Thomas Aquinas Roman (STAR) Catholic School Division wishes to share that Dawn Miller is no longer serving as a trustee with our school division.
During her years of service, Dawn demonstrated a deep and unwavering commitment to Catholic education. She faithfully represented our schools and communities with passion and dedication, ensuring that the voices of families, staff, and students were heard at the board table. Her leadership, compassion, and strong advocacy for Catholic education have been greatly valued and will be remembered with sincere gratitude.
Dawn has now accepted a new role with the Alberta Catholic School Trustees’ Association (ACSTA) as Governance Manager, where she will continue to support Catholic education at the provincial level. This position will allow her to share her expertise and experience more broadly, helping to strengthen Catholic school divisions across Alberta.
“Dawn has been a tireless advocate for Catholic education in our division,” said Board Chair, Donna Tugwood. “Her contributions have had a lasting impact on STAR Catholic, and we are thankful for her faithful service to our students, staff, and communities.”
Superintendent Laurie Kardynal also expressed her gratitude: “It has been a privilege to work alongside Dawn. Her commitment to Catholic education and her support for our schools and families have left a meaningful legacy that will continue to inspire our work moving forward.”
The Board of Trustees and Division extend heartfelt thanks to Dawn for her years of dedicated service and wish her every success and blessing in this new chapter of her career.
