Provincial Achievement Tests – Students in Grades 3, 6 and 9 are required to write provincial achievement tests. These tests provide important information to teachers, students, and parents and helps to ensure that Alberta’s students are receiving a high quality education. Achievement tests are administered in January, May and June each year.

General Information – Secondary students enrolled in a level 30 or 33 course must write the appropriate diploma examination and attain a final blended mark of 50 percent or higher to obtain credit in a diploma examination course. Diploma Exams are administered in January, June and August each year.
