Inclusive Education (Special Needs)

Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions and responses below for answers to questions you may have about Inclusive Education (Special Needs) bus service.

My child is in an inclusive education (special education) program. How will they be transported?

We assess the individual transportation needs of each child on a case-by-case basis, working with parents, school staff, our Director of Student Services, and Transportation Officer.

We will ensure your child is transported to and from school in the safest and most efficient way possible, while taking their unique circumstances into consideration.

We encourage you to contact your school office to discuss your child’s transportation needs.

How long does it take to set up transportation for my inclusive education child?

Once your child’s needs have been completely assessed by our staff, we will identify the best possible transportation service for them. This process may take time; we appreciate your patience and we will keep you informed during the process.

What is the average length of ride time for a child in an inclusive education program?

While there is no maximum ride time, routes are planned to be as efficient as possible in limiting the duration of time your child is on the bus.
